Who we are

Atlas shows recent flight prices and links you to the companies that sell them. It is run by Myles Critchley ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. A postal address for the business will be added here. Contact us about privacy at [email protected]. Data protection fee paid to the ICO on 16 October 2026; the registration number will be added here.

The short version

What we collect, and why

WhatWhenWhy (and the legal basis)How long
Which prices and links you pressed through to (the place, the month, the partner), under a random code made for that one visit. Searches themselves are not recordedWhen you press a price or a partner linkTo see which places and features people use, and to check commission reports (our legitimate interest in running and improving Atlas)About 13 months, then deleted automatically
A random code for your phone or browser, with the routes you chose to watch and their last priceOnly if you press a "Watch" button (for example "Watch Rome in November")So you, and only you, see your watched routes and whether they went up or down (to provide the service you asked for)120 days, or until you remove it. At most 10 per phone
Your internet address (IP)Every visitTo stop abuse, such as someone sending thousands of requests (our legitimate interest in keeping Atlas working and safe)Held in memory for a few minutes; Atlas does not write it down. Our hosting company's own service logs, which can include it, are deleted after 7 days

The random codes are not linked to your name or contact details, and we have no way to find out who you are from them.

We do not make automated decisions about you. Commission never changes the order. Places are listed cheapest first, using the freshest fare for the trip length you asked for.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data.

Information stored on your phone or browser

Atlas does not use cookies. It uses your browser's own storage only for things that help you: your last search, the "Easy read" setting, and, only once you watch a price, the random code for your watched routes. If you install Atlas as an app, it also keeps a copy of one page so it can say "you are offline" without an internet connection. None of this is sent to anyone for advertising. You can clear it any time in your browser or phone settings.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. The quickest way to delete it: in Atlas, open Saved and press Forget this phone. That deletes your watched routes from our computer and clears what Atlas kept on your phone, at once. Search and click counts are kept under a code for each visit, not your phone, so we cannot pick yours out; they are deleted after about 13 months. For anything else, write to [email protected]. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we use your data, please tell us first at [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.

Keeping it safe

Atlas is reached only over an encrypted connection (https). It holds no passwords, contact details or payment details. Keys to price suppliers are kept in the host's protected settings, never in the code.

Changes

If we change this notice, we will put the new version here with its date.
